Amanda, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
FYZICAL Naperville
My name is Amanda and I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2014. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Aging. I have been a practicing clinician in primarily outpatient Neurologic and Orthopedic physical therapy, specializing in working with patients post-stroke, TBI, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, vestibular impairments, chronic pain, and post traumatic injuries/surgeries. I also have experience working in acute care and ICU, and with amputees for prosthetic training. I am proficient in medical Spanish.
I have 3 children ages 6, 4, and 1. I was born and raised in Naperville, my husband and I both graduated from NCHS, and I am excited to give back to the community where I grew up! In my free time I am usually on my Peloton bike, playing backyard sports with my kids and going to their activities, walking around Downtown Naperville, going to restaurants, and hosting backyard barbecues. I was a competitive swimmer as a child through high school and was a swim team coach of my neighborhood pool for many years. I had a high school soccer knee injury that first got me interested in PT. Then as I watched my aging grandparents going through acute/subacute rehab and I learned more about the different treatment settings, I knew it was what I wanted to study in school.
