Physical Therapist Assistant

FYZICAL Garfield Ridge

Hello everyone! My name is Carlos, and I am a Physical Therapist Assistant graduate from Morton College. My interest in physical therapy began when my daughter was born prematurely with Trisomy 21. Witnessing therapists work with her to achieve functional milestones from a fragile premature baby to a strong girl who can sit, crawl, walk, and dance was truly inspiring! This experience sparked my passion for physical therapy.

As a new graduate, I’m still exploring various areas of expertise. During my clinical rotations, I particularly enjoyed working with geriatrics, pediatrics, neurology, and orthopedic patients. I am passionate about helping my patients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life. I am also a strong advocate for women’s health and conducted several presentations during my PTA education to raise awareness of women’s health issues.

Outside of work, I have a keen interest in sports, music, and traveling. I love discussing football, soccer, basketball, boxing, and more! Yes, I’m a huge Chicago Bears fan! I also enjoy attending concerts and music festivals. My dream is to travel to new countries to explore their history, traditions, and cultures, and I would be thrilled to receive any recommendations, especially if they involve great food!
