Marie received her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training in 2014 at the University of Lynchburg, and continued there to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. She also completed her Fellowship of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) through the Gray Institute in 2022, and is also functional dry needling certified.
Marie uses her knowledge of functional movement and value of manual therapy to help empower her patients in achieving their movement goals. She brings her expertise in treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with a special interest in providing treatment for first responders. She has been treating police, firefighters, and paramedics since 2017, and understands the demands and requirements to return to work safely and prevent further injury.
Marie enjoys working out at her Crossfit gym, especially working on power and Olympic lifting. She loves baking – has perfected the chocolate chip cookie. She is very proficient in Spanish and continues to work on her fluency with her Spanish-speaking patients.
