Physical Therapist

FYZICAL La Grange

Joe earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Findlay University in Ohio. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University Chicago. He has over 10 years of physical therapy experience and has been part of the FYZICAL family since 2018. He enjoys serving a wide and diverse range of patients but thrives particularly in orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions. His treatment style takes a holistic approach with an appreciation for the connectedness of the human body. He considers the entire body, not just specific joints or regions, as he understands that the most successful treatments rely on restoring proper bodily function as a whole.

His initial approach is typically hands-on, utilizing dynamic functional mobility (FM) with an emphasis on biomechanics and postural awareness. He pairs this with neuromuscular re-education exercises to enhance the effectiveness of the manual techniques used. Joe is a lifelong learner and continues to take a wide variety of comprehensive courses. He is excited to incorporate what he learns to enhance his treatment approach and further develop your plan of care.

Joe is no stranger to physical activity himself. In high school, he competed in football, basketball, and track and field. He was particularly successful in track and field, where he became a state-qualified athlete. He continued to pursue the sport at the collegiate level, qualifying for nationals in the discus throw and decathlon events. He currently stays active by working out in his home gym or jogging outdoors.

When Joe is not in the clinic, he enjoys exploring new food experiences and traveling both stateside and abroad. He has traveled to Thailand five times, as well as to the Philippines, Cambodia, and China. He is also an avid movie enthusiast who enjoys both classic action films and new releases.

Joe is no stranger to hard work and takes pride in tackling DIY projects, whether he is making improvements around the house or working on his car. While cooking is not necessarily his greatest strength, he has developed an appreciation for preparing home-cooked meals. For Joe, cooking has become more than just a daily task. It is a meaningful way to support his mental well-being and enjoy the comfort of good food.
