Dr. Katherine (Katie), PT, DPT, graduated from University of Iowa in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007 from Rosalind Franklin University. Katie has over 16 years of experience in rehabilitation field. Dr. Weiss’s career has been developing not only her clinical skills but also her leadership skills. She has experience in outpatient with specialization in pelvic floor health for men and women, overhead athlete program for swimmers, softball and baseball players, etc. In high school and college, she swam long distance freestyle and butterfly.
 
She is largely manual physical therapist who is able to perform dry needling, myofascial mobilization, IASTM and cupping. Katie can help with various orthopedic diagnosis such as ankle and foot injury with patients who have complex medical needs such as diabetes, post-surgical, and acute sprains and strains. Patient population varies from young athlete with ankle instability returning to sport, pelvic floor issues, joint replacement, arthritic changes etc. for ease with recovery process. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending quality time with husband and daughter, swimming, biking, and participating in outdoor activities with family and friends.
