Lead Physical Therapist
FYZICAL Niles
Hello! My name is Coco, and I’m the Lead Physical Therapist and Clinic Director in training at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers – Niles. I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (2018–2021) and went on to complete a Neurology Physical Therapy Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Delaware (2021–2022).
My journey into physical therapy began with my lifelong love of movement and athletics. Growing up, I played soccer and volleyball and trained in Shotokan Karate for many years. I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the health sciences, but it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to observe at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s Amputee Care Clinic that I truly found my calling. Seeing how physical therapists could meet people where they were in their recovery—and help them walk, move, and live fully again— left a lasting impression on me.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed experience in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, working with athletes, law enforcement, and military personnel. After completing my residency, I became a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) and continued my career at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab before stepping into my current role here at FYZICAL. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their strength, confidence, and independence—no matter where they’re starting from.
Fun Facts:
